What the Procedure Involves
During rhinoscopy:
- A small camera is gently passed into the nasal passages
- The nasal cavity is examined for inflammation, infection, foreign material, masses, or structural abnormalities
- The procedure may involve anterior rhinoscopy (from the nostrils) and/or posterior rhinoscopy (from behind the soft palate)
