Care at Peak Pet Urgent Care
At Peak Pet Urgent Care, we perform C-sections on-site when urgent delivery intervention is needed. Our experienced veterinary team is prepared to handle high-risk deliveries and provide immediate care for newborn puppies or kittens.
We provide:
- Rapid evaluation and decision-making for delivery
- Advanced anesthesia and monitoring tailored to the mother and her litter
- Immediate neonatal care for newborns
- Coordination with your primary care veterinarian for ongoing postpartum care
Our goal is to safely deliver healthy babies while protecting the health of the mother.
During the procedure:
- A surgical incision is made in the mother’s abdomen and uterus
- Puppies or kittens are carefully delivered
- The uterus and abdomen are sutured closed
- The mother is monitored closely during recovery for pain and any complications
